We recently specified a fiddle fig tree for our Client who lives in a high-rise on the Wilshire corridor. The addition of a living plant made a tremendous impact on the space which went from modern and cold to more bohemian and inviting. Indoor plants can not only function as a work of art in their own right they also have many health benefits including increasing humidity and air purification. For spaces with high ceilings, consider making a bold statement with a large scale plant such as a fiddle fig or cactus, for more intimate spaces, hanging greenery or wall mounted pots are a nice way to add a bit of green without overwhelming the space. For rooms that get a lot of natural light consider a potted citrus plant such as lemon or orange to add a fun pop of color and fill your space with a fresh scent.
